PSA operations – COVID-19 Parafield cluster

The PSA is modifying our operations based on the latest Health advice arising from the recent pandemic developments.

The PSA remains fully operational and committed to supporting, representing and advocating for PSA members during the pandemic.

Members should continue to contact the PSA in the usual way for the respective matters for which they need to contact the PSA.

Some PSA staff will return to working remotely.

Member Benefits Centre – 122 Pirie Street, Adelaide
The Member Benefits Centre will remain open from 8:30am until 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, for purchases and Metrocard recharges.

During this period the PSA will accept EFTPOS payments only. Cash will not be accepted.

You can continue to order your gift cards over the phone by calling 8205 3200, or by emailing a completed order form to memberbenefits@psaofsa.asn.au.

Members can collect your pre-ordered purchases from the Member Benefits Centre between 8:30am and 2:30pm Monday to Friday, or you can arrange collection from our reception up to 4:45pm. Orders can also be sent to your nominated postal address.

Note: you will only be able to collect orders after 2:30pm from reception if you have prearranged to do so.

Members can also log into the Members Only section of the PSA website to access e-gift cards and other discounts.

PSA Members’ Rights Hotline – 8205 3227
Our Members’ Rights Hotline is keeping a full service operating. Members will need to leave a message for a call from a Hotline Team Member. Our team will give you a call back within a relatively short timeframe.

Alternatively you can send an email to enquiries@psaofsa.asn.au with your full name, phone number and a brief outline of your enquiry and the team will be able to provide you the advice you need.

If something comes up at work and you need some support and advice do not hesitate to contact the PSA Members’ Rights Hotline.

The PSA Members’ Rights Hotline operates from 8:45am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Advocacy and Representation
While there are some measures already in place around leave and other provisions associated with COVID-19, there are still areas that need clarification or improvement. The PSA continues to make representations and to advocate for members with relevant political leaders; the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment and her Office; senior Industrial Relations and Policy Branch; Chief Executives; senior managers, and managers in agencies.

Now more than ever, it is vital to have the protection of your union and for your colleagues to join you in the union if they have not already done so. Those yet to join the PSA can join online here.

Remember, it is a very difficult time for you all and now, more than ever, working together and looking after your workmates is the best place to start. Be kind to each other and check on how people are travelling while taking the time to look after your own wellbeing.
