Library Lovers Day
14 February 2024 is Library Lovers' Day
Library Lovers' Day celebrates and appreciates the importance of libraries and the significant role that libraries have in our community.
As the union for public sector workers in South Australia, we truly appreciate the positive impact that public libraries have on our community.
The State Library of South Australia is an essential educational resource that serves the community. Examples of this include:
- Creating digital inclusion and technology access: the digital divide is bridged by providing free access to the internet and computers.
- Supporting Lifelong Learning: educational resources are available to people of all ages.
- Cultural development and inclusion: There is a wealth of exhibitions, activities and events hosted at the library which contributes to the cultural enrichment of South Australia.
Join us in celebrating the love for libraries at the State Library of South Australia!
Members, we are inviting you to join us to celebrate Library Lovers' day with a free sausage sizzle BBQ at the State Library.
This is also a good opportunity to touch base with PSA Organisers, and have an informal chat about what is and isn't working for you at work.
