EB to be accelerated, 20% wage claim on the table

With your strong support in the recent election, our new leadership team has hit the ground running.

Key updates

  • Salaried bargaining to be expedited: Bargaining for the Salaried Enterprise Agreement has been underway since September 2024. Now, we’ve written to the declared employer to insist the process be expedited - and they’ve agreed. Read the letter here

  • A claim for a 20% wage increase in the first 12 months and a short 12–24 month agreement: We have presented a clear claim and our focus is simple: A meaningful wage increase. This isn’t just about timelines - it’s about real outcomes. Members have waited long enough.

  • Weekly enterprise bargaining meetings with government: From now on, we’ll be meeting at least once a week, every week, to drive progress.

We kicked things off yesterday bringing members from DCP, SA Pathology, Housing Trust and DHS to the table for a meeting with the declared employer, with a focus on the OPS classification.

Members spoke powerfully about the value of their work and the need for fair pay for the essential services they provide to the community. We thank them for sharing their stories.

“I thought it was a great opportunity to get in front of people who can help form decisions. It was good to be heard, and I think it was good to have a group of us, from different agencies because we all have different experiences. And even for us (PSA members) to hear from each other on these experiences too”. A PSA member who attended the first weekly meeting.

PSA members’ efforts are leading positive change

We also want to acknowledge the members who’ve been taking industrial action. Your efforts matter. We will honour that by staying strong, holding the line and escalating together if needed.

This is a critical moment. Members have waited long enough.

More updates to come.

In unity,

Charlotte and Celia
